I can’t find previous mention of this on the forum.
Fly, Dakota, Fly! is a 2013 Japanese language film based upon the 14 Jan 1946 forced landing by Mountbatten’s personal RAF Dakota FL510, the SISTER ANN, on a beach near a hamlet on Sado Island, Niigata Prefecture. With the help of the entire village, the Dakota was dragged from the water. A runway was constructed using local rocks, and the aircraft was able to return safely to its base.
Apparently, the millionaire American owner of the real FL510 is making a documentary, or has done so.
