Hello,
I’m close to completing restoration of a ww2 RAF navigator anglepoise lamp, however, I’m in need of a couple of springs and the little aluminium bar that the springs attached to.
If anyone has these items I’d love to hear from you please.
Thanks,
Dave

Thanks gents. Good advice and tips.
The longer lower spring bars remain elusive.
I may look into getting a couple machined unless one turns up – fingers crossed!

I have over 30 of the smaller lower spring bars and half a dozen of the upper bar section.
The lower spring bar – the MOD one is bigger and longer than the domestic version (shown in the picture) – I dont have any left spare – sorry.
The anglepoise spare springs are the correct size plated ones – so even though they are £18 – they are the ones I use.

You could always try these guys

they sorted me out with springs for my 1943 10cwt GS trailer’s handbrake in a matter of minutes

JDH I have the top bar that you refer to as well as the spring lower bars.

I am trying to rebuild a pair of these. I am short of the rear tubes, i.e the one below the shade arm and the between the two side tubes. These appear as though they are the same as the standard anglepoises in that they do not have the extra circular friction washer that all the other tubes do on the Air Minstry type anglepoise. I also need all the aluminium spacing bars. There is two between the side tubes, one top one bottom with assosiated fixing screws/nuts. Then there are two bars near the bottom which the springs attach to that the original poster also needs.
I would be happy to just rebuild one lamp and use the other parts I have to trade for the bits I need if somebody has a quantity of the parts I do not and vice versa.

I have the spare bars – the springs you will have to get from angle poise at £18.

The company remains in business.
I’d start with them first.
