1930's RAF W/T aircraft radios

Hello Gentlemen!

Could anyone please tell what kind of Transmitter/Receiver Radio was used aboard RAF/FAA aircraft during the 1920-1935 era?

Thank you!

I’m fairly certain the radios were HF( as opposed to VHF) and early use would have been via Morse. Later around late 30s(?) VHF came into use( using AM) for short range.

There is some info on TR9 sets and others here…..

Was the R1082/T1083 combination in use at the end of that period? I’m not sure when they were introduced.
