Thanks chaps, that was the Robbo I heard on the radio. From what he said he’s a regular in to Stow Maries By the way what happened to the ex-Booker WW1 aircraft that were due to move to Stow Maries at one stage?

Any shots of the WW 1 aircraft that are based there?

As Mike said, WWI aircraft are a bit thin on the ground. Although they are getting on with building the new hangar.
There were too many people milling around to get a decent picture of the replica.

It was a very busy day though with around 20 aircraft visiting. Controlled admirably by kevin, with his hand held radio.

I believe Terry Dann now has his Auster permanently based at Stow Maries.

The helicopter in question. Based at Headcorn I think.

The static Pup replica spent the day on Southend pier. The only other WWI based there is the scale SE5a. The BE2es seem to be in the process of migrating from Old Warden to Bicester.

A really nice selection. I was airborne near Old Warden when I heard a helicopter on the radio going in there and I’d forgotten all about it. Too late to get there as I was due home for lunch! Any shots of the WW 1 aircraft that are based there?
