I’m going to be ‘picky’ here. If you’re going with nose art, don’t spoil the project with that. Get a real artist to do it for you.

Hi all today was d day to move the Canberra cockpit with some low level flying behind a crane truck , it has bein relocated to a friends factory where restoration and building a trailer for it will commence.
Also i have included a pic of the intended nose art , which was on a B57B Canberra as flown by the 8th attack Sqd USAF in Vietnam .

I’ll echo Ian’s comments there – that’s a nice piece of kit and will make a great resto project without too much work.
That canopy must be enormous, knowing how big the Canberra fuselage is. At least all the glazing appears to be intact and reasonably undamaged. Great cockpit too, complete with its seat and column. A rare thing in my (UK) experience.
Good luck with it. Post a few pics of the work and the finished result.

It looks so much cleaner and more organised inside than it’s British parent. You’ve not got too much to do either, compared to an empty shell. Thanks for the pics.

Lovely – good luck with the resto…
To my eyes, the centre canopy makes it look a little like a 2 seat Seahawk!

Thanks Dan you are a life saver give me a call when you are down my way next and i will give you the Devon screens that are here.
Am intending to repaint the Canberra as a USAF B model as used in Vietnam.

Oh well done Mr P’, you’ll make Paul jealous…!!!

That’s lovely! Is there much left inside? The centreline canopy makes it look so different.

Always been interested in the US made versions myself. It shows how unsung the Canberra is in the role it performed all over the world.
I always thought the RB 57 F version was an amazing example of how adaptable it could be, the huge engines and wings on it are impressive.
look forward to more detail on this one
