Stumbled upon this on Youtube.
Not sure who it was made for, but made by a company called ‘Aviation TV’.
Plenty of Spitfires (including PT462 in it’s controversial Charles Church ‘spinach & blue’ scheme), and interviews with some of the ‘Sally B’ team – Keith Sissons, Elly Sallingboe, and Pete Brown
Commentary (which is rather amateurish and slightly irritating IMHO) is by a chap called Bill Smith. Apparently he was part of the Air Fair radio team.
Cheers

The programme Wyvernfan watched was called Jet Stream and was on Quest (freeview 37). I watched it too.

Thanks Rob – I think the Catalina-related interview must have been very dated then.
Cheers.

All I can remember David was that it was a programme that featured different aircraft – three of which I remember were the Sea Harrier, B-25 and Catalina, with a few minutes describing its role and uses including past and present day footage. And the Plane Sailing Cat was one of those on that particular episode.
I think it’s on every week but for the life of me I can’t remember which channel.
Hope that helps!

It is some years since Keith flew Plane Sailing’s Catalina and he is not currently on our roster of pilots. Rob – can you tell me more about the TV programme you mention?

I saw that Wycernfan,
Keith Sissons flying the Catalina might explain the way it’s displayed , always used to be good in Sally B’. And yes, good to see him about still,

Off topic I know but the mention of Keith Sissons reminds me that he was one of a pair of pilots for the Duxford based Catalina that I saw interviewed on TV the other day. Good to see he is still flying after so many years previously at the helm of Sally B.
