In Hampshire, Hurricanes Hardly ever Happen (but sometimes they do ! )

To Thruxton on a gloomy Sunday, for an inspection of Phil Lawton’s newly finished Hurricane, with the temp Finnish markings now removed , and back in the Rhodesian colour scheme.

Despite the lowish cloud base, Clive Davidson was happy to perform a few gentle figures in the overhead, with loops and rolls at very low boost, and the engine sounding very smooth indeed.
It was a great privilege to sit in the cockpit of the just-landed fighter, and the heat in the cockpit from the cooling engine was quite something.

Now on sale for £1.4 million. Go on, treat yourself…

Grass landings are preferred, with about 35 landings out of a set of tyres on tarmac ( £600 each tyre )

Agreed. Very refreshing colour scheme for a Hurri.
