Is a documentary made of the recovery of remains from a Wellington bomber from the Ketelmeer (lake). It is thought to be HF544, a Wellington X shot down June 26th, 1943 by a German nightfighter. The body of navigator F/O William Eric Riley was recovered from the lake a week later, and he is buried in Amsterdam. Pilot F/S Andrew Basil Reginals Airy, bomb aimer Sgt. George Charles Green, radio operator Sgt. Thomas Martin Atkinson and gunner Sgt. George Ronald Johnson are remembered on the Runnymede memorial. Unfortunately, no crew member remains were recovered from the site, although a fair amount of wreckage and ammunition come to the surface. The ID of the aircraft cannot be confirmed 100 percent, but no other Wellingtons have been known to go down nearby that had the same bomb load. Recovery was last May.
