Found amongst a load of old junk at home. It is just under an inch across, and is pretty well made, and quite strong metal.
Sorry, not much to go on, but I reckon it may have an aviation connection, with the “wings” on it, and thought that some of the gurus on here may have seen something similar before.

To my mind that’s a fairly modern fixing.
My guess would be a promotional give-away from the French armed forces.

It looks very much like a French Air Force pilot’s brevet, although not quite identical in detail. How big is it? Perhaps it’s a veterans tie-pin or brooch?
