Is it not the last weekend for BBMF main display work, I know they do have to attend a few ceremony’s stil but as we now go into winter maintainace I think this year has been very special indeed.
I was lucky enough to see both Lancasters, first time through binoculars (7 miles away) the second right over our heads as the flew at a 1000′ over Bicknacre heading to Clacton, The fighters I have seen transiting on maybe a dozen occasions, a sight and sound that always brings a lump to my throat.
As the 2015 season starts and it will PA474’s last before a major I would like to applaud the RAF men and women for the dedication and great skill in managing the aircraft how they do along with the many again doing the behind the scenes work.
BBMF thank you for an awe inspiring 2014 and look forward to 2015.
