The Thruxton-based Hurricane made the long-awaited trip ‘home’ to Finland in August to the delight of local aviation enthusiasts.
”After the Second World War fighter Hawker Hurricane landed on Wednesday evening Malmi airport to delight aviation enthusiasts.
Restored fighter is the Finnish Air Force’s wartime colors. This was reportedly the first time that this type of plane landed in Helsinki since World War II. machine seen in the weeks following the events in Kymi, Oulu and Helsinki.
In Finland, a resident of British Phil Lawton restored by the aircraft involved in Australia International Airshow event in just over a week after Helsinki.”

Yes I thought that the Finnish markings were superb. Was Clive Davidson the pilot for the occasion? If he was congratulations Clive.

Shame the Finnish markings couldn’t of stayed on, as it looks refreshingly different!
