Holiday weather was too grim to venture in the Scottish hills, but this was in the camp site car park on South Arran. The owner reckoned it was Avenger but it looks a bit small. Thanks to my wife’s knitting bag I can say it is 59 inches tip to centre. Wildcat/Martlet?

Cheers Mike, This one seems a bit squashed but doesn’t look to have hit anything under power. there’s another blade and boss as a memorial at the island museum, B24 I think.

That’s a nice little find, Ian.
Yes, I’d put my money on Wildcat/Martlet, too. I think that type was the only one in British service to use that (Curtiss electric) prop so likely as not, that’s the application.
Unusually, it’s not damaged or bent. It appears to have a piece of steel tube welded into it so may have been on display somewhere. Any reports of a missing propeller from a memorial or museum in recent years?
Anon.
