Between the showers I was intending to do some daylight long exposure shots using a variable ND filter and although there was a bit of a breeze, the big fluffy clouds weren’t moving much so I slapped on a graduated ND filter to the front of the lens to enhance the big fluffy clouds instead. A few changes since my last visit to Newark with the arrival of Hunter T7/XL618 and the erection of an Anderson shelter, along with Colin the rabbit on top, and a ‘Dig for Victory’ garden. In Hangar One there is a small World War One display with accompanying audio track of birds tweeting, aero engines getting louder and sound of machine guns as in a dogfight then back to silence, which has given better access to the cutaway Tiger Moth and to view the progress of the Monospar.

Last minute decision as the weather forecast the day before was for thunder & lightning in the Newark area which was what I was after as a backdrop. A couple of rain showers and that was it.

Great work as ever Brian – I hadn’t heard that you’d paid the museum a visit! 🙂
