You obviously drink from the same well of cynicism as I do….

“Ere boss, you know that ‘arrier we let the Space Cadets play with?”

“Yes Jenkins, what about it?”

“Well, one got flogged for £105k t’other weekend”…

Most likely to be sold to ‘preferred bidders ‘ for something in the area of 5-10k. Highly unlikely to go to another ATC unit and it cannot be offered free outside of the RAFM or IWM. If enthusiasts want any chance of getting it best thing to do is contact the agency and express an interest maybe that way it could go to tender . The guys at Laarbruch would undoubtedly love it and it would be good for telling the story of RAFG but the days of affordable aircraft museums are pretty much over .

Here is the key bit:

A similar aircraft, restored by its owner to “like-new” condition over 1,000 man-hours, recently sold at a private auction for more than £100,000.

Unlikely to be scrapped most likely to be disposed of to one of the MOD preferred contractors
