Unknown British Grip from War & Peace

Hi, I acquired this grip and took a bit of a gamble on it as it wasn’t huge money, originally I thought Gannet but cannot find any reliable reference on the web, the part number also throws a blank, seems to have “AC” on it denoting aircraft, so early Whirlwind helicopter maybe?? I am sure the grip experts will know for sure.

Thanks

Dan

Hi, Many thanks for all the replies, I will stick (excuse the punn) a label on it. At the War & Peace I saw a Vickers yoke, looked Vicking to me or something simular also a few German grips but could have been fakes?? and an early Mig stick.

By chance did you get any details of the person selling the viking yoke? Thanks

Certainly not stolen! I had permission to steal it, that’s different!

Not Dragonfly, more likely Whirlwind Co-Pilot/Left hand seat, here’s one I liberated earlier, well about 1988 at Guetersloh actually! (This was from a HAR10 used as a BDR airframe)

Going by the grip thread, you have it as co pilot Sycamore grip Tony, thought it looked familiar. Anything else appealing at War and Peace?

It’s pretty basic but would be nice to know exact type.
