I don’t think so Peter. I’ve looked at the Sunderland front and rear turrets and there doesn’t seem to be a match with the details of this piece.

In fact, I’ve looked through the manuals for many different turrets (not just Frazer Nash) and I cannot spot a similar design.

The closest I can get to is Wellington tail (the early type with FN5 2 x .303″) but the cut out at the top of the piece is not shown in the drawing I have.

David, any part numbers that might mean something to us? Or any chance of a photo showing the internal detail?

It doesn’t seem to match up to FN5 Wellington nose or tail, Lanc/Manchester nose or Stirling nose.

It does sort of look Frazer Nash to me though? The open hatch looks like an oxygen valve access door found on some FN designs.

Looks like it could be Stirling front Turret (FN5), although I’d need to compare it with our one to be sure.

Doesn’t appear to be Lancaster.. Wellington maybe?
