Spending a day with the Windsor Lancaster.

Had a great day yesterday down in Windsor Ontario and Lancaster FM212. Brought a couple of important missing bit’s for them for the project and they were very greatful. Thing’s are really moving with the project now and she is showing signs of progress once more. They ave a terrific crew working on her and the workmanship going into the restoration is second to none! They are having a rollout and sign the bomber event on July 5th..

Looks like a lot of work has been done, I guess there was a large amount of nasty corrosion to deal with?
Peter – do you know if they’ve sourced front/mid-upper turrets or is it going to be restored to its MR scheme?

They are in the process of possibly acquiring a Front turret and they have a Martin 250 Mid upper already under restoration. They are still trying to source a Fn120 though..

Nice to see another Lancaster being looked after. Been to Toronto and Vancouver. Maybe Ontario one day 🙂
