It was announced today that the volunteers at this museum have been awarded the Queen’s Award for Voluntary Service,the group equivalent of the MBE. The museum has more than 70 volunteers supporting a wide range of activities including aircraft restoration and conservation,tour guides,archive development ,shop assistance, event support etc etc.
