Does anyone have any info on a Mosquito crash near Cambridge on 5 June 1944 please? The pilot “Johnnie” survived but the navigator, the father of a friend of mine whose surname is Talbot was killed. They were returning from a sortie to Cologne.
Talbot(sorry I don’t as yet have his first name) was awarded the DFC for his actions in Lancasters prior to this but no information other than that is forthcoming.

A little more searching throws up the pilot as F/Lt J. E. L. Gover DFC. More info including infomation on cause can be found here (click the ‘Show More’ link next to Comment).
