Just some shots from RAAF Museum Point Cook

I’ve recently started as a volunteer at the RAAF Museum. Had my first day cleaning aircraft on display, being careful not to break the 1st Ruke of doing so……..”Do Not fall off the aircraft”. I was allocated the Vampire F(TT).30, The went on to the Mirage IIIO and Boston III. Let me tell you, getting the Vampire “Streak” free is fun 😉

The RAAF Museum is the same with the cleaning lights, however the lighting is pretty good in there all the time so you can get good shots with a camera.

The switch for the good lights at MOTAT in Auckland are apparently labelled ‘Cleaning Lights’ – it is all about timing!

Good for you volunteering. If those photos were taken on a phone, the RAAF museum lighting must be better than some of ours in the UK. 😎
