A friend and I were reminiscing about the Aerojumbles of old and we both wondered what became of Rodney.
Does anyone else remember him? Does anyone know what became of him?
Rodney was a regular dealer at Aerojumbles, he sold lapel badges, old engraved tankards, paperwork, that sort of stuff, but as time went on did fewer and fewer, eventually restricting himself to Whitwick and Popham then just Popham. Prices of stalls increased to the point where it was no longer worth him attending, as a trader at least.
Rodney was one of the nicest traders I know, I always made a point of buying something from him. We do miss him but have no idea what he’s doing now.

Rodney – a complete gentleman. As a kid and older, I bought many items off him and still have lots of them. Always friendly and always good to give a deal. I have not seen him for probably 8 – 10years (around 2003 rings a bell). My memory may be wrong and that was my annus horriblus anyway!

As a teenager I was collecting a lot of gauges, and regularly bought from Rodney- good stuff at reasonable prices, and a nice chap to boot. I’m remembering glasses, a moustache, grey hair, a tweed jacket…always reminded me of a teacher!
