I’m pleased to announce that it has been decided that the Speke Aerodrome Heritage Group in cooperation with the Crowne Plaza Hotel, will stage an Aviation Fair this summer at the old Liverpool (Speke) airport site.
There will be bags of outdoor hardstanding available and also, a room will be made available for an indoor aeroboot/exhibition area.
If anyone would like to bring a cockpit or other (aviation or non-aviation) display then please contact our chairman, Roy; roy@spekeaero.org
Anyone wishing to book for an indoor space, please contact: Rob: rob@spekeaero.org
In addition to the fair, the SAHG “fleet” will be on display with, where possible, access to the cockpits. Don’t forget Jetstream 41, G-JMAC our sim – a real, complete aircraft rigged up as a flight simulator.
View progress on the oldest surviving Avro 748 in the world (and the only civilian 748 preserved in the UK) G-BEJD “Sisyphus”.
Take a seat in our complete 748 cockpit,
Try a Gloster Meteor Mk.8 from 1951 for size,
Have a guided tour of Percival Prince G-AMLZ
Have a look in our latest acquisition – the cockpit of Shorts 360 G-SSWM
And much, much more!

Excellent idea and an event I would love to attend. But could you not have picked a better weekend, with Flying Legends and Fairford on the same day ???
