Hi everyone
During our big cleanups over the last few weeks, we have discovered that the Museum holds a great little collection of props. Here’s a couple of pics of the main ones that we could get access to (and these are the wooden ones as opposed to the big uns that are also in storage but thats for later)
See what you can ID 😉

Well played Tony ! Its the rare Bunnings Special, restored to sit-worthy status by one of the volunteers 😉

I think the first one is a Victorian public bench or possibly garden seat :p
I’ll get my hat and coat
Nice collection btw

Middle looks very like the shape seen on some Sopwith Pups, though the date doesn’t fit.

Thanks for the reply Christoph
The ones in the container are in fact :
Maurice Farman
Westland Wapiti
Hawker Demon
Bristol Bulldog (very bottom part obscured)
Ones out on the ground for memory
DH9 – two types earlier and later – this is as far as we can ascertain
Cheetah (two in front of pic)
And for the life of me I cannot remember the one in the middle other than the date on the prop was around 1928
So yes it’s a tidy little collection and we hope to have them on display soon
