Good day,
Just had the chance to acquire the Gyro gunsight of Seafire III PR236 that was removed from it at R.N. Air Station Gosport sometimes (or at the end) of its flying career.
Is there any chance someone would have photo(s) of this particular Seafire, especially as it was (unfortunately) scrapped as late as 1962.

Just came across this posting, Seafire PR236 has no Irish connection. Irish Air Corps Seafire 155 was PR237.

It would seem that some listings have Irish Seafire 155 as PR236, some as PR237.
Although Spitfire Survivors OTGAs went for PR236, this may be an error.
Tony Kearns will have the definitive answer.

PR236 Seafire III West Merlin 55M RNDA 30-11-44 1PATP Southport 2-45 VASM refurb to FVc standard to IAC155 del by Sgt Conway to Ballydonnell 29-9-47 withdrawn service 8-8-54 scrap 1962 This aircraft had wings of NF575 fitted.
