Currently there’s lots of interest in possible new ‘black projects’ in the USA, so I thought that it would be appropriate to provide an early ‘heads-up’ about Nottinghamshire’s Area 41 that has just been reported on the Newark Air Museum website!
I’m heading over at first light to check things out personally and I may be assisting with the anticipated media interest in this ground breaking project!!

A YouTube clip of the Anderson Shelter can now be viewed at http://m.youtube.com/watch?v=Q6u2JwvsdTE – I’m told that lots of visitors were looking over it today!

He deserves a “crafty kip” for the amount of effort that he’s put into bringing this new exhibit to life! 🙂

Thank you for post #5, which seems to have galvanised forumites into visiting the NAM website to check out ‘Area 41’ / the Anderson Shelter project.
Since the post was made I’m told that the NAM website has received almost as many links from this thread as it did on April Fools’ Day!
This is a good result for what was a light hearted thread about a worthy project and a great new educational resource at Newark Air Museum.

Sorry for the delayed update / reveal – busy day at NAM!!
Details of the true Area 41 project – a World War II Anderson Shelter have now been revealed in here, with an album of photographs added to the gallery!
Another education item now in ‘operation’ at NAM! 🙂

I suspect this is a ‘plugmeister’ plot to get ‘fools’ to start the digging for the new development!
