Spitfire Survivors thread

I look on my 2 volumes as priceless and theyb are now as well used as my volumes of “Aircraft of the Fighting Powers”.
The investment in time and knowledge by the authors is priceless also.

Can I have a Vol 2 please Peter, see you Saturday, Julian.

At least two people have indicated to me that they will be acquiring further copies of Spitfire Survivors, in addition to copies they already have, as an investment!

As it has now been deleted I repeat here that I will have a few copies of Volume I & II at Shoreham this Saturday – My personal sales stock.

£75 and no discounts I am afraid, at the direction of A-Eleven Publications, but a saving of £15 on the post and package charge.

Thanks Andy, and I quite understand.

I do apologise, JDK and others. The discussion about books and publishing, generally, was really useful and illuminating but, on balance, I decided to remove the thread because of an undercurrent of issues that I really didn’t want to get involved with relating to the main subject matter. Sensitivities and politics were the factors in that decision, but perhaps best to leave it there and continue with the discussion about publishing and Hawker survivors etc?

Very disappointing, although I know the OP is not someone to over-react.

It is a pity when people trouble to take time to answer reasonable questions and discuss them and the whole thing gets dumped.

As to the Hawker survivors question, I’ll start a new thread – QV!
