My late father served in RAF 600 Squadron for 9-years, after joining up in January 1937, working mainly on Beaufighter’s and Mosquito’s during the war years (groundcrew Sergeant). I’m sorting his photograph collection, comprising about 300-pictures (about 25% include aircraft), acquired or taken by him mainly during the war years and intend to share these on a public forum in due course.
Amongst his things is a cross-section of a Rotol propeller number 86809, type RA.10353/RTS. I’d very much appreciate it if someone could shed some light as to what it could have been used on to see if it could possibly have come from one of the aircraft he worked on during his active service days?
It has the pink/red disc with the following numbers: –
RTS
67579
67464
67578
6747 (I’m not sure if there should be another digit after the last 7?)
It has a Brass leading edge strip attached to it.
Many thanks in advance for any help received.

Many thanks Anne, clarification very much appreciated. This figures as my Dad worked on Vikings for Pegasus at Blackbushe airfield during 1950’s and early 1960’s. Martin

RA.10353, that will be from a Vickers VC.1 Viking!
