Hi all.
Would anyone know the diameter of the tube that passes through the spherical bearing on the spitfire rudder controls?
Many thanks for any help.

No one does supply it; you will have to find the right id, and have the od turned down, and ground. That’s how I used to do it!
Yes, it’s is 1/32nd wall.

Chumpy.
Thanks very much for that. I have looked for 1 5/16″ tube on internet but can’t find anyone who sells that diameter. It would have to be about a 1/32″ wall thickness if a 1 1/4″ tube has to pass through it. Any idea who could supply such tube?

It is 1-5/16″ diameter, as mentioned by Bruce two tubes one inside the other. The outer tube item 71, slid over a piece of 1-1/4″.

Bruce.
I have a GA drawing but it doesn’t give the tube diameter. If I can find the diam. of the one that passes through the bearing then, with a bit of luck, I can work out the other sizes.

I don’t remember off hand, but there are two tubes, one within the other.
