Book Wanted

I am looking for a copy of the book ‘Typhoon Warfare’ by Tom Hall DFC.
The ISBN is 0-646-39676-5.
Does anyone have a copy they would like to sell? Or know the whereabouts of a copy for sale.
Since my father is mentioned in it I would like to add a copy to his service history.

Well there’s a hint that they should maybe print it again if they could get permission or, at least, ‘we’ have somewhere to start with such a thing.

I’ll send you a PM, CS.

Gentlemen
Thank you all for your help.
I tried the publishers and they told me it was private publication with a small print run. They also told me that they have had lots of enquiries about the book.
I’ll keep looking.

I finally found my copy at a secondhand bookshop in Echuca, Victoria. Had been searching for several years and was astounded when I saw it on the shelf.

I have a live search for it on Abebooks, CS, so will give you a yell if something comes up in the short-term (by which time you may have set up your own search if you haven’t already).

As an aside, and it’s of no help whatsoever, it’s one of the small print-run books by Australian pilots that I would like to have reprinted and ‘re-released’ but that sort of thing takes time that I don’t currently have.

I’ve had a look for the book and it’s gone. Sorry to have raised your hopes and good luck with your search.

My uncle in Australia was a mate of Tom hall, he sent me a copy of his book and then followed up with a signed second copy. I may still have the unsigned copy around, I will take a look if there is no luck from anywhere else.

As an aside it is unfortunate that tom passed away a number of years ago. What’s your father’s name by the way?

I think we might have a copy on the museum’s second-hand book shelf. I’ll have a look tomorrow.
