The Saga of "122" The WW II 100 Missions Corsair!

F4U Folks;

Good Day!

A few of us F4U buffs are seeking info/data or additional pics of the B/w F4U included. The picture of “122” was taking at Bridgeport CT area c. Jan 1945 when pilot USMC Maj William C. Bickel was doing a promotional tour around the US plants that made F4U parts. Then .. this particular F4U disappeared from the radar screen. Buno poss 55XXX/56XXX series for now. We certainly will appreciate any additional info on its whereabouts! Photo Sikorsky Archives via J. O’Neill.
