I saw the episode yesterday evening. Their host at the EAA facility was the co-pilot from the Hudson River ditching a year or two back.

They asked “well, what is there for sale in here” (a large, shelved, hangar building absolutely chock-full of fantastic stuff all bagged and boxed). The reply was “well, everything is for sale here”.

There were engines, models by the hundred, propellers likewise, blades, wings, fuselages, flying clothing – you name it, it was there – an absolute Aladdin’s cave, if ever there was one.

God, give me access to that place and fifty grand!

A real eye opener. After all that, they only bought a few posters and a selection of aviation magazines, oh, and an old motor bike/aero-engine. They ignored all the ‘good’ stuff.

Anon.
