At Paul178’s suggestion, I am transferring this query to “Historic”
It was a question re the colour scheme of the Windsor; some sources, ie models of the aircraft, show the upper surfaces of the aircraft painted Grey/Green. Drawings we have at Brooklands (admittedly undated) show that the aircraft was painted Light Earth/Green. I realise that the colour scheme of day fighters and some twins were changed over from “Earth” to “Grey” in 1942, but that the “heavies” generally retained there night camouflage throughout the War. Does anybody have information on the actual colour schemes of the three Windsors constructed??
