Does anyone know the point [ serial no.] at which Lancasters, on the production line, started having the HS2 blisters fitted? It may be that the blisters were fitted at MU’s and not at the factories.
I’ve read many books on the aircraft but never managed to pin down this particular point.My particular interest is ND565 a 44Sqd. aircraft lost on a Berlin raid 24/25 Mar. 1944.

H2S, The aircraft loss card may state if it was fitted. Have you tried The RAF museum?
