Some of the titles to the pictures mention that they were never published in Life Magazine, I have never seen some of the pictures myself. Has anybody else? Are the members of this forum able to add anymore info to the pictures?

John Ellis ‘ The Saint’
Many are familiar, but a few new ones – to me, anyway.
Mostly 17, 85 and 264 Squadron. Mostly, I can put names to faces if interested although no time at moment. Dickie Lee, J H M Ellis, Peter Townsend and Bird-Wilson among them.
Nice one of John Ellis (85 Squadron) showing ‘The Saint’ painted on his Mae-West!

Intriguing – some must have been published since (and I’m pretty certain that the scramble one actually appears in one of Andy’s books) as I’ve certainly seen the ones of A G Lewis before, hard to forget that smile. I wonder whether Life licenced them as a library shots rather than using them themselves. Pity they didn’t get the 5×4 Kodachromes out as they did for the US-based propaganda shots!
