It is wonderful to see in the New Year Honours List which was released today here in New Zealand that Glyn Powell, of Mosquito Aircraft Restoration Ltd, has been awarded the Queen’s Service Medal for services to aeronautical heritage preservation. Well done Sir.

I had missed this piece of news, and others might’ve so here it is again.
What a great reward for someone who made ‘the impossible’ possible.

Glyn Powell is unique. That so much long term dedication and determination can be wrapped up in one bloke is just staggering. There were times when he faltered – he told me during our conversations and exchanges of correspondence regarding my own Mosquito project. His success is beyond praise. I take off my hat Glyn and bow.
