A Meteor first intercepting a Canberra and then bringing it down, a bit unlikely, isn’t it?

Bernie Hunter , in conversation, confirmed that it was three Meteors and added that ” we weren’t that high “.
The then Major Moukabri who coordinated the attack from the ground , described how , without radar, the Syrians in true Observer Corps style had phone ins from ground observers supporting plotting the Canberra’s track and extrapolating to the planned intercept point.

Surprising that a Meteor could get up to the altitude of a PR Canberra but perhaps it had descended.
