Spitfire – 50s?

Could be TE288 which was with 60MU at Rufforth during the late fifties for exhibition duties.

Looks like a T-leaf under the wing!:D

And his accomplice making off pronto, to the right!

Is that a ‘T’ under the cockpit?

I wondered if it was TE311 but she was on the gate at Tangmere in the 50s…

The style of the code number ‘3-‘ looks similar to those carried by the Mk.16s at 3 CAACU Exeter, but was probably common to a number of second line units in the early fifties.

Central Gunnery School had Mk16s at Leconfield, which is close to Hull.
