Aircraft assignment list?

Does a list of aircraft assigned to RAF Squadrons exist?
E.g.
332 Squadron, Spitfire (Serial No)###### AH-#
If so, anyone know where might I find it?

The Air Britain serial books will give you which aircraft went to which squadrons, but the codes are not recorded in any single place.

The main source will be the squadron ORB’s held at the national archives at Kew. Many are available online, for a fee. Although these generally record serials, but not always codes and each operation carried out. You may find the odd website dedicated to some squadrons that contain this information.
