Concorde, Farnborough's Barometric Test Frame.

Does anyone know what happened to the Concorde Test Airframe that was used as a Static test rig at RAe Farnborough.

My Dad can remember it being delivered on the back of a low loader down the parcially constructed M3 that he was involved in the construction of.

He had to Buldoze out under the bridges to allow the fin to pass under.

Thr Test Concorde was housed up near the Supersonic Wind Tunnel and I remember seeing it in its close fitting test chamber inside a building with wing tips and Fin Top sticking out. This was back in about 1979 -80

This airframe does not seem to apear on any production lists?

Mark

The fatigue airframes were tested to destruction and the Farnborough test rig was demolished. I did read that the foundations are still there. If you can read this thread on Concorde SST the replies are from a former Concorde team member. http://concordesst.yuku.com/reply/42643/static-fatigue-test-airframes#reply-42643
There are a few structural test specimens at the Brooklands Museum.
