Japanese prop blade from Darwin, can anyone identify type?

Hi Everyone,
A mate of mine has this propeller blade that he got from Darwin, presumably circa WWII. Can anyone identify which aircraft type this blade may have belonged too?
:eagerness:

Mitsubishi-Hamilton type 99. Almost certainly ex-Zerosen.

My translation:

( Hamilton Shiki ) 9 9 So Kei ( Type 2 ).

‘Shiki’ might be best translated as ‘Type’ in this context.

‘So Kei’ might be best translated as ‘Light Weight’ or ‘Lightweight’ in this context.

Therefore: ( Hamilton Type ) 99 Light Weight ( Type 2 )
