ww2 Hurricane ID from spade grip?

Hi All,
Ive just picked up a early hurricane spade grip, and it appears to have been removed from a hurricane of the period, i was just wondering if it is at all possible to track down which particular hurricane it might have been removed from and whether the history can be found out? the grip has several numbers on it which i can provide, if anyone can help it would be greatly appreciated. thanks Sam
