SYWELL AIRSHOW RETURNS FOR 2014 – ONCE AGAIN KINDLY SUPPORTED BY FLYPAST MAGAZINE!
The popular biannual Sywell Airshow is set to return on 17th August 2014 and this year’s theme is the Centenary of The Great War which will be reflected in the airshow lineup of WW1 aircraft. Thrills, spills and derring-do are guaranteed to include Spitfires, Mustangs, aerobatic teams, barnstorming and more all in aid of The Warwickshire and Northamptonshire Air Ambulance and other local charities. Over £50,000 was raised for good causes at the last show, which is entirely run by volunteers, in 2012.
Early bird discounted tickets are available now. An airshow spokesman said “we have been over the moon with the reponse from the Public in recent years and sell a huge amount of tickets in advance – in fact advance sales have been increasing year on year – with space limited at the airfield people are advised to get them early before they sell out!” More ‘acts’ will be revealed as the show gets closer. Well done. I must get their one day. But don’t really like airshows unless i’m working with an aircraft or glider.
