Hello all,
it has taken a long time to get to this point!
On Sunday November 17th at 2.30pm we will be having a service of dedication to unveil the memorial to 302 squadron. The service takes place at St Catherine’s Church in Leconfield (in the village, not on the airfield!).
All are welcome, if you would like to attend please drop me a pm or reply so that the lovely ‘Friends of St Catherine’ have enough tea and cake to go around.
The delay in the installation came after the church was closed for two years due to serious damp and structural issues.
We’d love to see you there.

Love Demands Sacrifice
If you’d like to see photos of the memorial, please head to Facebook. The church was packed in the end, supported by the Polish community from Hull and those who remembered the Poles fondly.

Thank you for sharing this, nice to know that the story is remembered and honoured. The motto “Love Demands Sacrifice” is pretty accurate.
