Thought you all might like to see this photo, taken by a 32TRS RF-4, recently donated to the ARG Archive at Alconbury:

I must admit, when I found it while going through the bundle of donated photos it was a bit of a “Final Countdown (1980)” moment… 😉
All the best,
PB

I have just checked in my Rudhall book and he confirms that only 2 Casas actually came to britain.
So presumably taken not too far from Tablada airfield in spain !

BOB “Heinkels”
Not all of the CASAs were fully dressed up for the film, so indeed it might possibly be from the filming off Spain. IIRC only a couple actually visited U.K.

My initial thought too, however the national markings on the port wing appear to be roundels rather than film ‘make-up’ German crosses.
A joint Spanish Air Force/U.S.A.F. exercise involving RF-4C aircraft from Alconbury, shortly after 10th TRW re-equipped, to me would be more likely.
Intriguing photo though.
