Why didn't the Soviets built a Tu-114 tanker?

The Tu-114 seems to me like a great candidate as a tanker, any idea why it wasn’t tried? They did build an AEW variant in the form of the Tu-126. I would think standardizing upon it as a tanker would be quite logical. It would have the engines in common after all with the Bear and ****.
