The Last African Flying Boat, from 1993, now on youtube, must see.

I originally taped this from the TV when it was first shown in 1993 and was extremely upset when I managed to wipe it off by mistake, taped Trumpton over it!. And now its available on youtube thank heavans.
The Short Solent at the beginning of the film is the one now in Florida with Kermit Weeks while the Catalina went to NZ in 1994, history here http://www.kiwiaircraftimages.com/catalina.html and was grounded needing repairs in 2012.
I like the line in the film ‘Africa isnt going to appeal to Jim, He’e going to see it as a just a lot of strange places held together by red tape where the beers no good and nothing works’.
