178 Squadron – Warsaw Airlift Aug to Sept 1944

Am involved with a Group on Facebook covering 31 & 34 Squadrons SAAF, these units were involved in the Warsaw Airlift Aug to Sept 1944 along with other units of 205 Group operating out of the Foggia region in Italy

As part of the 2014 70th Anniversary of the Warsaw Airlift a proposal has been put forward to install a Memorial in the Warsaw Uprising Museum that will record the names of ALL aircrew Polish, RAF and Commonwealth aircrew that flew on Airlift operations

So far we believe we have approximately 95% of the names involved, however we are finding it difficult to check names of 178 Squadron aircrew that took part

So does anyone have any relevant info that could help or even know of any 178 Squadron survivors from that period
