UK P-40s

Being a bit of a P-40 fan I was wondering what varients have been displayed in the UK over the years. At the moment we have a P-40B,F and M and from France a P-40N.
So what went before or have passed through the UK in recent years?

No, it was (and still is) owned by the Paul family, but was leased to OFMC from IIRC 1984 for a few years.

Until 1989 going from memory.

Was it the first OFMC P-40 that had the naked lady painted on the tail?

Yes, this one.

Sorry nothing like such a great photo as the one above, the first P-40E Kittyhawk 1A I recall in the UK was N94466/SU:E, here seen displaying at the last airport based Air Show at Liverpool in August1984, complete with (what I suspect is an American version of RAF) desert camouflage and ‘shark’s teeth’. Suspect this could be the ‘naked lady on the rudder’ scheme referred to above, but the rudder is coyly hidden on my poor photos.

Can someone PM me to tell me (or link me) how to post pictures direct from Photobucket at full size without going through thumb-nail size stage please.

I well recall Hanna father and son dogfighting with their P-40 and Buchon over East Fortune in 1999. Sad to think Mark was to die a few weeks later.

2 P-40Es with OFMC
P-40N with Warbirds of Great Britain (although I don’t think it ever displayed)

I think that’s about it.

I think you are right, and if so I feel blessed I have seen all but the Warbirds of Great Britain one fly.
