Fairy Phantom Biplane Model

A friend of mine’s father passed away in Belgium last year. The deceased was a long time director of the Fairy company here in the UK, and later Brussels. My friend has spent the last six months
dealing with his fathers estate including disposal of three properties. As a young boy in the early 50’s he recalls his father had a large model (approx 3 -4 ft wingspan) of the Fairy Phantom biplane fighter.
He is pretty certain its still in his fathers rambling house in Belgium and hopes to find it in the coming weeks. His memories are that it is made from aluminum and covered and a very realistic looking model
built by the company in the 1930’s possibly even for wind tunnel tests. Jim is not sure what to do with it once found maybe a museum would be interested? He has asked me to post pictures
here which I am happy to do once its retrieved from storage and returned to England. Suggestions?

Being a Belgian Fairey, wouldn’t it be suitable for a local museum?

Better a Fairey Fantome than a phantom fairy?;o)

Look forward to seeing the photos. The full size one was a real beauty, pity there isn’t one left now.
