Torino Le Rhone 9J

Hello,

Just in case if anyone is interested:

This Le Rhone was discovered and acquired in Slovenia in 2007 in dismantled condition.

The engine is a 1917 Torino built example, serial number 25856. It carries the plaque of Italian military acceptance inspection.

After 2007 the engine was taken care of, always being stored properly.

The engine was cleaned and assembled.

It comes with no magneto, carburettor or oil pump. Some valve rockers are missing. The crankshaft is sawed off, aft of the mounting plate.

With only one cylinder plugged, the compression is great, being very difficult to turn through the compression stroke.

It is a very good candidate for restoration to airworthy status.

We encourage possible collectors to inspect the engine in person. Contact details at: http://www.aereform.si

Would consider an ADC Cirrus engine as a part exchange.

Price is 17.000 GBP.
